Nutritionquest is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.

Nutritionquest strives to ensure that its Data-on-Demand (DoD) system and questionnaires are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We recognize the importance of making our research tools available to diverse populations.

Our questionnaire platform includes the following accessibility features:

• Visual design with distinctive coloring to assist users with various vision conditions
• Clear, readable font selections
• Simplified user interface designed for ease of use
• Keyboard navigation to move back and forth between answered questions
• Large, touch-friendly buttons for 99% of response options, making it easier for users with touch screen devices
• No scrolling required; once all questions on a screen are answered, a large 'Next' button appears

We acknowledge that our platform has some accessibility limitations:

• Limited keyboard functionality for selecting answers to questions
• We have not conducted formal testing against WCAG 2.1 standards
• Screen reader compatibility has not been fully optimized

We are working to address these limitations in future updates to our platform.

The Nutritionquest Data-on-Demand system is designed with basic compatibility with assistive technologies in mind, though we have not conducted comprehensive testing with all assistive technologies.

Researchers planning to use our platform with participants who use assistive technology should contact us in advance to discuss specific requirements and potential accommodations.

We try to respond to feedback within 2 business days.

Researchers using our platform should consider accessibility needs when planning their studies. If research participants require specific accommodations, researchers may need to provide alternative methods for data collection. The following alternatives may be available:

• Study subjects who have accessibility issues with the Data-on-Demand system can request from the researchers running the study to receive a paper copy of the questionnaire to complete their answers.
• Researchers may offer their study subjects the ability to have an interviewer read the questions and record their responses, although this is at the discretion of the researcher and not within Nutritionquest's control.

Nutritionquest is committed to working with researchers to ensure their studies can be as inclusive as possible given the current capabilities of our platform.

NutritionQuest is committed to improving the accessibility of our platform over time. We are working to identify and address accessibility issues and to integrate better accessibility practices into our development process. In 2025, we plan to implement enhanced keyboard navigation features that will allow users to navigate between response options and answer questions using only their keyboard.
